Trident Seafoods and Linde have both sent announcements reiterating the companies will be attending Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America.
The two companies sent information to customers announcing that each would be present at the expo, which is running from Sunday, 13 March through Tuesday, 15 March, 2022, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Linde said it will be showcasing its cryogenic freezing and chilling applications, along with other equipment systems, at Seafood Processing North America. The company highlighted its new CRYOLINE PB plate belt tunnel freezer, which according to the company provides a smooth surface for quickly freezing “marinated, sauced, or other wet products that are difficult to handle.”
The company added it will also showcase the CRYOLINE UPF flighted freezer, which is designed for “rapid, efficient IQF production of shrimp, scallops, clams, and other seafood products.”
“Cryogenic freezing is an extremely efficient method to preserve the quality of high-value seafood products,” Linde Business Development Director Chris Johnson said. “This can give seafood manufacturers a significant point of difference in the quality of their frozen offerings, which is becoming more important as consumer interest in high-end food products expands. Consumers enjoy convenience, yet they’re unwilling to compromise when it comes to quality. They want both.”
Both products will be on display in Booth #1465 at SPNA.
Trident Seafoods announced that it will also be attending the expo, but that its booth – Booth #805 at SENA – will be different than in previous years.
The company said it has made an effort to “find a way forward” to attending the show while still “maintaining our focus on the safety and comfort of our teams during this time.” To that end it will not have a full culinary and demonstration booth like in years past.
“We are preparing a small team of executives to attend the expo and be present and available for those customers that are able to meet safely, both on and off the show floor,” Trident Seafoods Executive Vice President-Domestic Sales and Marketing Melody Conner said in a release. “At the same time, we will be implementing daily COVID protocols for our team that will ensure their safety and the safety of our industry partners and customers.”
Conner said the company is “looking forward” to supporting the event and the industry after the past few years.
“While 2022 may feel different, we will be there with anticipation and excitement,” Conner said.
The expo's organizer, Diversified Communications, announced on 3 March it will no longer require attendees wear masks to protect against the spread of COVID-19, after pulling back on requiring attendees to show proof of vaccination in February.
