Sistranda, Norway-based salmon-farming company Måsøval has announced the appointment of Helge Kvalvik as its new managing director.
“The board is satisfied that Helge has accepted the task of leading Måsøval further. His leadership experience and background will be of great use to Måsøval in an exciting phase. I look forward to working with Helge in the further development of Måsøval," Måsøval Board Chair Lars Måsøval said.
Scheduled to begin the role in January 2023, Kvalvik will join from Boa Offshore, where he served as managing director. He has experience from Norwegian and international business, and has a degree in marine engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and has a master's degree from the Norwegian School of Economics in finance, the company said in a press release.

Måsøval, a vertically integrated producer of Atlantic salmon with more than 50 years of operational experience, is located in central Norway in the region west of Trondheim. It is the majority owner of processing and distribution firm Pure Norwegian Seafood.
The company’s recently-reported harvested volume for the third quarter of 2022 was 4,879 gutted-weight tonnage (GWT). Its complete report for Q3 2022 will be published 15 November, 2022.
