Finalists for the 2022 Seafood Excellence Global Awards announced

Thirty-eight finalists from 13 countries will compete in the 2022 Seafood Excellence Global awards competition, set to take place during Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona, Spain, from 26 to 28 April, event organizer Diversified Communications announced on 6 April. 

The annual product competition seeks to highlight and recognize the best seafood offerings featured at the exposition. Two grand prizes will be awarded for the Best Retail Product and the Best Hotel/Restaurant/Catering (HORECA) Product at the expo, with an additional five special awards presented for innovation, convenience, health and nutrition, retail packaging, and seafood product line.  

All seafood products entered into the competition, including the 38 finalists, will be on display during the three-day exposition in the Galleria, between halls 4 and 5, in the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, where the 28th edition of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global will take place.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and reception on 26 April, 2022, in CC5, room 5.1 from 19:15 until 21:00 at the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue. 

The six products finalists in the HORECA category and the 32 products in the retail category are:
