Dundee, Scotland-based aquaculture technology supplier Ace Aquatec is planning to showcase its suite of ethical harvesting solutions for fish farmers at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, taking place through 15 March, 2022, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
The company, which has won awards for its Universal Humane Stunner, is planning to showcase its newest developments at the expo. The company plans to use AR models and demonstrations to showcase the latest developments of its humane fish-stunners.
“Seafood Expo is a great opportunity for Ace Aquatec to showcase its stunning technology at an in-person event,” Ace Aquatec North America Sales Manager Sam Bowman said in a release. “The humane treatment of farm animals, including fish, has become an important topic for consumers and retailers in North America, and Ace Aquatec’s technology is leading the way to more responsible fish farming.”
The company’s stunning technology is away both aquaculture and wild-caught operations involving finfish can humanely stun fish until the point of death. The product has been proven through EEG tests to stun fish until unconscious in less than one second, and according to Ace Aquatec has “been designed to meet the highest welfare standards expected by consumers, retailers, and regulators and has gone through rigorous trials.”
The company also has technology for automated waterjet bleeding, gentle contactless pumping, above and below water predator deterrents, 3D biomass cameras, and sea lice removal systems.
Bowman, who formerly held senior management positions at Mowi and Cermaq, will be present to showcase the new technology at Booth #1788.
